Analog this, Old School that I feel like we (millennials at least) are trying everything in our power to relive a better time. 1996/2006/2016 were by no means perfect years but hell does it feel a lot more hopeful than 2026. When stumbling across my old wordpress account I found my old posts and though partially humiliating a couple of friends said BRING IT BACK! So though the original purpose of this blog was to become “an influencer” I’ll now use it as an un-locked journal.
Welcome back to my blog where I will talk about whatever I want. Some days it may be trivial like skin care or movies, and other times it may be how the news makes me feel absolutely awful and privileged at the same time. I want to use this as a way to decompress and get thoughts off my chest as well as talk about things I like and things I want to remember. There is a lot going on in the world. It’s awful, sad, and very overwhelming at times. I think having a place to vent publicly opens the dialog but also reminds people that their feelings aren’t alone. We’re all navigating the same awful ocean just on different boats. Even though its isolating at times there is always someone close by to help create support.
If you don’t agree with my opinions I DO NOT CARE. Find someone else’s blog to read you will not be hurting my feelings I promise you. This is my space, curating in a fashion that I desire, not yours. And if you sit here thinking that you are a good person and that what I create is woke or socialist. COOOOL That means I’m doing this correctly.
As a small (Re)-inroduction to myself I am Lara. I went to college for Political Science and I love Nerdy things, Fashion, Make-up, and Sports (Mostly women’s). I volunteer in Pageants as a local director where my biggest goal is to empower teens/Misses alike to be the best versions of themselves, to gain confidence, and learn the tools that not only help them win a crown but also like long tools that will help them beyond the pageant stage.
I’m a huge believer in Sisterhood/Pageant life as it has helped me tremendously gain skill sets that I use daily at work and in my personal life. I feel as a whole that us women need to stick together and remember how important it is to cultivate space where we can all be safe to speak our minds and be there for each other. So many times I witness friends and strangers alike say “OMG! You as well I thought I was alone in that feeling.” Oftentimes we diminish our feelings and thoughts for others and suffer alone when we all need to work together because more often than not we are going through similar feelings.
Though I’m not sure how this journey will navigate, welcome to blog I hope you stay!
Until Next Time, Ciao
