Fall is quickly approaching and I find myself searching the mall and internet for statement pieces to add to my closet this season. Looking at all the trends that hit the runway ten found themselves in my heart some shocked me at how much I loved the way they looked and others I have recently saw myself reaching towards on my own.
- Velvet- Now I see this trend being shown as the main piece of an outfit either as a top a jacket or even a dress. Personally I don’t like the feel of velvet when my hand brushes by it but I do enjoy the look of velvet shoes. This fall I can see my shoe collection expanding it self with at least two or three pairs of this shoe.
- Plaids and Checks- As a girl born and raised in the nineties my love for plaid goes deep I own enough plaid. The difference with this plaid is it leans towards more the seventies where the plaid was lighter. My favorite ones were definitely leaning towards the warmer side. Checks I was seeing this in more of a form of houndstooth which is another one of my favorite prints I love that it’s a classic and most times you can’t go wrong with it.
- Trench coat- This feels like it’s a given. Fall belted coats. I don’t think it’s a trend that will stop coming back again and again. It also happens to be my favorite type of coat I can’t wait to break out my trench coat when it gets cooler.
- Red and Gold- Calling all Gryffindors this fall is for you these two colors were in many looks that walked the runway. Though I won’t be doing a head to toe look in either color I will definitely be picking up pieces in that color to add and build upon. I have seen myself leaning towards these two colors lately.
- Silver- Out of all the metal colors I always find myself leaning back to this one the most. I will never be able to properly explain why it’s my favorite metal but I can say I am so happy that it is a piece to add this fall.
- Patchwork (Americana)- This trend reminds me of south-west meets the quilt my mom had when I was growing up. This is another trend that I like in moderation maybe as a top or a bag. But I don’t think I will be seeing myself wear this as a huge coat or in pants but over all this is a trend that surprised me that I liked so much.
- Victorian collars- My love for dainty things swooned over this. I loved looking at tops that had this collar and this is one piece that I may just buy right away.
- Florals- Who doesn’t love a beautiful floral print (okay I know not everybody but still let me live in a utopia for five minutes). I can just see it a nice floral dress with an opened jacket tights and booties I feel the print dresses itself.
- Leather- I love leather. Now most of it I see in the form put pants and dresses paired with a jacket and the color was either straight black or red. I do love black leather but I really love dark tan leather. No complaints from me ill whether the leather all year-long!
- Glitter- My favorite I feel like the world would be a better place if we just had more glitter to throw around. I loved the way you can dress it up or down regardless of what you wear pair it with leather or pair it with the Victorian collar. Using glitter will just add to the look in my opinion.
So that’s my top ten for this fall season and the things I’ll be looking out for when I’m shopping around. Do you have favorite trend this fall? Let me know in the comments!
Until Next Time Ciao!
